Story 2128: Microstock Revenue Potential Published: 10/5/2009   Kelly Thompson recently said, "iStockphoto has many contributors making anywhere from $40,000 to $500,000 a year." For most of 2009 I have been tracking the number of downloads for 117 of the 150 most productive iStock contributors. While Thompson's statement is technically accurate it may lead contributors to believe that it is easier to earn $40,000 a year selling microstock than is actually the case. The figures in this article give a better picture.
